SUMMARY
What an experience! I had the honor of working at Pininfarina on a top-secret project. Can't spill the beans, you know, NDA, company secrets - I felt like James Bond throughout the whole thing. What I can tell you is that we collaborated with a leading American company in the medical technology, devices, and equipment industry to create a real gem of a project: a smartwatch and its dedicated app. It was an absolute blast!
Well, what was my gig, you ask?
My role in the project was to design the interface for a brand-new smartwatch and its related app. We started from scratch, conducting thorough research on competitors and our target audience. From there, we conceptualized an entire platform/operating system along with the connected app, complete with interactions and animations. It was a monumental undertaking!
takeaways & pearls of wisdom I've bequeathed
What did I take away from this experience? Everything! I had the honor of working with a design icon, Pininfarina, alongside amazing people and top-notch designers/engineers. We created a complex product from scratch, in a truly small team. I learned so much at such a high level, and I'm proud and grateful for it.
